Reviews

I really hate waiting for a response when I give something I’ve created to someone for feedback. So, I listened to your CD from start to finish this morning.

I’m generally not a big fan of sequencing and electronic effects in music, but in your tracks it didn’t ruin my listening experience at all. I generally approach something like this with a pen and notepad next to me so I can note the songs I particularly like. But in this case, I found every song enjoyable; there was some element in each tune that I liked. Your lyrics were great, too.

It’s a very “listenable” set of tracks. I found your musical style to be kind of a Jazz/Pop fusion. That’s how I’d describe it, but I’m not good at determining genres. Beyond that, your singer serviced the songs well, the playing was great, as was the production.

Well done!

"Hey Jim, hope you're having a good week. Great recording on your new record! Well done, polished, great on the ear. A fine collaborator you've got. A cool Steely Dan vibe thruout. I especially enjoyed My Light in the Dark and Sleight of Hand. Really good stuff, congratulations. Hope you and Deb have a great Thanksgiving my friend. Be cool."

"Really like the album. Mark is super talented. All the songs frame your lyrics really well."
